NHS England - Returning Nurses
This campaign has changed the way in which NHS England approaches recruitment of new nurses. The startling fact that more nurses were leaving the NHS than joining and over 40,000 vacancies needed to be filled, we knew that a standard recruitment drive would not be enough to reverse the trend or fill the gap.
The solution came from looking into past leavers data and discovering that the vast majority of those who left the profession did so to start a family and that they were positively predisposed to returning to nursing at some point.
So we partnered with the UK’s largest parenting forum, mumsnet, and actively engaged with new parents and encouraged them to get back to the career they loved.
The response was staggering, with questions to our experts coming in every 2 minutes, we managed to double our target engaging within the first 48hrs!
